It’s Monday following a holiday weekend! If you created online ads with specifics about sales you were running for the 4th of July, make sure to go change them back, pause them, or whatever’s needed to avoid offering sales you’re not running now!
A snappy rundown...
Make sure if you have changed any AdWords, Facebook, or Bing PPC ads for the weekend sales that you change them back today.
If the sales aren’t over yet, the logic still applies, so set a calendar reminder.
Your ads will just look silly and waste money otherwise. They might even be falsely advertising your business if you’re not offering the same deals after the weekend.
(If you haven’t changed ads to reflect weekend specials, why not? Increased conversion rates are slipping away!)
Don’t forget remarketing or retargeting ads. If you set those up as separate campaigns and the cookies are following people around, be sure to replace or pause the ads. It could be even more damaging to your brand to be showing holiday ads on non-search engine sites.
Now Back to Life: Freedom Slide 2014
What did you do with your holiday?
Eat a hot dog?
Forget the suntan lotion?
(Yes, I called it "suntan lotion" instead of "sunscreen"... It's what my mother said and now I can't break the habit.)
This weekend I took part in the 4th Annual Freedom Slide: a 200-foot water slide we spend 4 days every year constructing in a friend’s backyard. It’s a community thing.
This year we added a small ramp at the bottom and dug out a pit to attempt safer landings. Added a mattress too. Bruises. Next year there’ll be more padding.
If you’re in East Nashville next year, send a note and we’ll make sure you know where to go. It’s the best water slide you’ll find outside of a water park. Guaranteed.
